Despite not having having Alzheimer's herself, Alzheimer's Society was a charity that Maisie cared about deeply after watching her nearest and dearest suffer with the disease. Being the selfless person she was, she would have opted/preferred for people to donate to Alzheimer's Society over charities related to the illness she battled with herself.
